Bite Into Italy’s Best Pizzas

When we put the words “best” and “pizza” side by side, we just can’t help but think about Italy. Locals and foreigners alike have their own preferences and definitions of how a great pizza should be, a challenge gracefully conquered by Naples, Italy. With the numerous pizzerias located there which aims to satisfy anyone’s definition of the “best”, why look for another?

First on our list of recommendations is a rustic restaurant called Da Michele. Take note that there are tons of people there and no reservations. Plus they only serve two kinds of pizzas: pizza margherita and pizza marinara. Having read that, you might be hesitant but don’t miss out on it! These two pizzas will be some of the best you’ve ever had. Next is Lombardi 1892, they have been open and cooking for generations and yet their pizzas are as delicious as it ever was. Other dishes could also be ordered, but prioritize their specialty: pizza with smoked provola cheese.

Di Matteo also serves exceptional foods, but their pizza gains the spotlight. They serve the famous Neapolitan pizza, a pizza so authentic and delicious that people (especially students) even choose to eat standing when no seat is available. Not only that, but the staff are famous for their overwhelming friendliness and hospitality despite the hustle and bustle of work. Lastly we have Brandi, which serves their famous pizza margherita. Possessing also one of the more elegant atmosphere, they surprisingly serve some Falanghina white and Aglianico based red wines.
