This girl is a must see for all reptile enthusiasts as she’s 42 feet long and around 67 million years old. The museum holds a host of other dinosaurs and exhibits, and even offers up overnight sleepovers where children and their families can sleep among Sue and all of her dinosaur friends. Tickets are $18 for adults and $13 for children. The Wyoming Dinosaur Center – Thermopolis, Wyoming Home to a beautiful museum with 20 full-sized dinosaur skeletons on display, the real appeal of this […]

Jet Boating at the Heart of the Reversing Falls

Destinations/North America
Jet Boating at the Heart of the Reversing Falls

Before getting on a small jet boat, you put on a giant, baggy wet suit. You leave everything you do not want to get wet in the car, and you head onboard for a new adventure. As you make your way to where the fresh and salt water meet, you notice the rapid-like whirlpools that your boat is headed directly towards. You are about to take on one of the world’s natural phenomenon known as the Reversing Falls. Up in Saint John, New Brunswick in eastern Canada, the Reversing Falls takes place where the Saint John River meets the Bay of Fundy. Before reaching the bay, the river first squeezes through a narrow gorge. Upon arrival, high tide blocks the river from entering the bay and creates a reversing effect. With the Saint John River essentially turning around, we in turn get the falls. Luckily for you, the existence of the Reversing Falls gives you another opportunity to explore something new. There is only one company that is approved and available to take on the rapids, and that is the Reversing Falls Jet Boat Rides. With their specially designed boats, you get to go closer to the falls than any […]
