Reasons Why You Must Visit Austria

Austria is a heaven for the foodies and those who seek culinary excellence. It earned the title “Capital of Delight,” not only for the food, but also for the ambiance, Mediterranean-like climate and for the farmers markets. No place else can get as mouthwatering as this, you can even book a tour dedicated to eating and wine sampling.

Naschmarkt one of their most famous markets, also named as “city’s stomach” by locals, you can find almost all the food which you desire. Meats, fish, cheeses, seafood, vegetables, you name it. Not only that you can also spot some delicatessen favorites in the stalls, local or not you can find them here.

An amazing street market, also considered as presently the longest one in Vienna: Brunnenmarkt. Composed of more than 170 booths, this market provides locals and tourists with the freshest food products of the day. You can find anything from meats, to fruits and vegetables. If you want to but at the cheapest price, wait around until closing time at 18:30, that’s when they’ll sell certain products at the lowest price in order to clear out their inventory.

If you’re looking for a great inexpensive restaurant, a great suggestion would be a restaurant called Der Wiener Deewan. So basically, you put whatever you want in a plate, eat and pay how much you want; that simple. This restaurant located beside the Votiv church mostly serve delicious Pakistani food. On the other hand, when that sweet tooth acts up, come and visit a trendy café called the Brass Monkey. They serve beautifully decorated pastries and coffee, either you order everything to go or get lucky and find a seat. It’s quite small and usually crowded, but the flavors are worth it.
