Andalucia in Spain is recognized for sea and sun. Now, it is hoping to also become a haven for satisfying gastronomic desires of its tourists. For those who are looking to find the best restaurants in Spain, head over to La Manga and treat yourself to a variety of culinary treats.

Located along the Costa Blanca, La Manga combines all the flavours the area has to offer in order to create mouth-watering dishes. Most of the recipes were handed down from one generation to another until they become immersed in the region’s character. The main appetizer is tapa which is available in different forms.

For the main course, rice dishes are the specialty in the area. Along with rice, you can enjoy a bevy of dishes such as red shrimp, rabbit, or snails. Their signature dish is the Rice La Tana, which comes with minced squids and shrimps with no heads and no bones. If you like fish, the Restaurant El Pez Rojo is the place to be.

But if you are craving for international dishes, don’t fret because La Manga also has various international restaurants. Blues Restaurant has a good reputation in the area for serving several international food. Another great venue is Run which serves Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese dishes. If its pizza you want, try Via Romana which boasts of a good menu and a competitive price. For German and Argentinian dishes, visit the Castillo de Mar and El Parador, respectively. For some fish and chips, the Bar el Sol is worth trying.

If you want to try the flavours of La Manga itself, the local seafood is a must. The regional shellfish are known all over the world and is best when prepared on a hot dish and served with local rice dish. Fresh fruits and vegetables and the local lamb is served at Cartagena.

Complete your trip to La Manga by sampling their wine. Los Belones offers free wine tasting and also sells bottles of your favorite variety. La Manga serves Spain’s world famous white rioja.
