Top Tourist Destinations in Africa

Africa is a great continent and blessed with a wide diversity of wildlife. Although the other continents still has some wildlife, Africa hosts more than 80% of all wildlife in the world, and most of these animal roam freely in national parks and game reserves. This might also be the only continent where you will see animals in their natural habitat, undisturbed and living as nature allows them to. If you would like to see wild life in their homes, then Africa is the place to visit. Among the many places to visit in Africa include:

1. The Maasai Mara and Tsavo National parks in Kenya
Eastern Africa is home to some of the biggest land animals in the world, and this includes all the big five. The Maasai Mara is home to many animals such as the lion, cheetah, leopards, elephants, gazelles, wildebeests, rhino’s, hyenas and many more. Tourist from all over the world come to Kenya to see these animals in these and other game parks within east Africa, with the wildebeest migration, one of the seven wonders of nature being one of them. Many people flock from far and wide to see this amazing journey by the wildebeests from Kenya to Tanzania, along with their symbiotic relatives.

2. The Victoria Falls, Zambia
Travelling to Africa involves all about nature; the Victoria Falls in Zambia is another major tourist attraction in Africa. During the rainy season, more than 500 million liters of water drop in this waterfall, which creates mist to over 100o feet above the ground. This scene is just astonishing and tourists head here just to see this wonder of the world, in the middle of a semi-arid area.

3. Egyptian pyramids in Egypt
For those who have read or heard about the huge humongous pyramids built by the pharaohs in Egypt, and would like to see them in person, then Egypt is the place to go. These pyramids were built as burial sites for pharaohs, and a huge amount of ornaments and gemstones, gold specifically is found inside these pyramids. As told in the bible stories, these pyramids have an authentic symbolism in Egypt, and are adored to this date. These pyramids are located in the valley of Giza in Egypt, and are major foreign income sources for the country.

4. Cape town, South Africa
Cape Town represents modernization in Africa. It is one of the most developed cities in Africa, as world class hotels have been in existence for a long time. The city is a major tourist destination in that; it hosts a table mountain at the heart of the city. It also has great shorelines where tourists can visit to sunbathe as well as swim.
