Who doesn’t want to spend their whole day at a spa? Let alone a spa town? Czech Republic has an area called the West Bohemian Spa Triangle, of the three alluring towns that make up this area, Karlovy Vary stands better than the rest.
Karlovy Vary boasts around 200 spas where people flock to relax and rejuvenate their mind and bodies. They offer different kinds of treatments, methods, baths, massages, and therapies that are all very effective and completely safe. Visit spa hotels like the well-known Hotel Imperial, yes it may be pricier than most, but they wouldn’t be given the Czech Republic’s Leading Spa Resort prestige award for nothing.
With all the spa structures in town, why don’t you visit Mill Colonnade? Made out of a number of hot springs, Mill Colonnade takes pride not only as being the biggest one, but also as being the town’s traditional symbol. To be exact, it contains 5 spas that are all dedicated for therapeutic purposes and each having different temperatures ranging from 53 °C to 65 °C.
In case you’ve had your fill of all the spas, try going to the Diana Observation Tower situated on the hill behind Grandhotel Pupp. Take a hike through the forest trail until you get to the tower, this will give you a scenic view of the forest while listening to all the birds singing. If you’re not up for that, there’s always a cable car to take you up, but it only goes to the base so you’ll still have 5 more stories to climb before arrive to the lookout tower. At the end you may be tired and sweaty, but the view of Karlavy Vary is worth all of it.
