A Visit to Leonardo DiCaprio’s Private Island Blackadore Caye in Belize

From being a heartthrob in “Titanic,” Leonardo diCaprio has turned himself into an environmental activist. The actor is now hosting several eco-focused television programs. Maybe this was the result of purchasing Blackadore Caye, an island in Belize, which he purchased in 2005 for $1.75 million in partnership with Jeff Gram who owns Cayo Espanto Resort. The actor discovered the island while vacationing in 2004 at Cayo Espanto Resort with girlfriend Gisele Bundchen. DiCaprio and Jeff Gram are now deep in planning with the Four Seasons group to create a five star luxury resort, which will be based on sustainable design and environmental conservation. DiCaprio revealed that Blackadore Caye will serve as the benchmark for testing innovative ‘green’ technology and natural sources of energy such as water, sun, and wind. If everything goes according to plan, Four Seasons Blackadore Caye will convert the 104-acre tropical island into a five-star resort which will house an 80-room luxury hotel with private beach villas, spa services, and fine dining restaurants. Aside from that, the island will also have a solar-paneled airstrip to provide additional power to the island. Furthermore, it will include an exclusive collection of private villas with pools and direct access to […]

Take a Trip to Johnny Depp’s Private Island in Bahamas

After his film “Pirates of the Caribbean,” Johnny Depp fell in love with the laid back atmosphere of the Bahamas and decided to purchase Little Hall’s Pond Clay for a whopping $3.6 million dollars. According to Depp, the 45-acre piece of island in the picturesque Exumas serves as his sanctuary if he wants to return to living a normal life and escape from the limelight. The actor revealed that his island will exclusively be powered by solar energy.  Among his guests in the island was the formerly troubled Lindsay Lohan.  Depp even referred to his property as F**K  **F Island. Little Hall’s Pond Clay is composed of six different beaches named after Vanessa Paradis, his previous partner, their children Lily, Rose, and Jack, mentors Hunter Thompson and Marlon Brando. There’s a “patch of water” called Heath’s Place named after the late Heath Ledger. He named one of the beaches after Paradis because it had the same contour as her lips. The several small residences on the island will run on solar power and the means of transportation will be a fleet of green golf carts. Depp reveals that the island named after his mentor Hunter Thompson is the “most savage […]
