South Korea Trip – Part 2 as a Solo Traveler in Seoul, Busan and Jeju Island

DIY Itineraries/South Korea/Travel Stories
South Korea Trip – Part 2 as a Solo Traveler in Seoul, Busan and Jeju Island

For the second time, I visited South Korea and this time as a solo traveler. I booked my plane ticket a month ago and it costs me around 8500 pesos– back and forth – Manila – Seoul – Manila, June 10, 2011 to June 13, 2011. My reason? I panicked when I saw that Lee Ji Hoon has a musical show called Won Hyo, I am dying to see him in person and watching him perform LIVE, so I grabbed this opportunity. To make this a perfect vacation, I will be going to JEJU Island as well. DAY 1 (Seoul, South Korea) Okay! To start it out, June 09, 2011, I went early to NAIA Terminal 3 for my 1:30 am flight. Few minutes before landing to Incheon International Airport, I was rushing to fill up the immigration paper. When we arrived at airport, I easily passed the immigration. I purchased a bus ticket heading Myeondong and get off at Ibusiness Hotel, from there, I walked till I reached Seoul Backpackers. I got my reservation and just changed clothes. The first place I visited is the ‘Seoul World Cup Stadium’. At world cup stadium, there are also IMAX and mountains […]

Do-it-Yourself(DIY) Trip to Seoul, South Korea – Part 1

Is it also your dream to visit Korea? A home of Korean Dramas – Winter Sonata, Endless Love? Kpop stars – Girls Generation and Superjunior? Stumble upon Bae Yong Jun or Jang Guen Suek while walking on The Street? but you don’t have enough budget to spend? well, I hope my experience would help you in getting to South Korea on a Budget travel – Do IT Yourself. XD It was around January when I purchased my plane ticket to Korea, thanks to Cebupacificair, it’s cheaper than the original price. Considering I don’t have visa yet, and I have never been to other country (I was so nervous that time), I only have my passport! When I went back to Korean Embassy to get the result, I was so nervous!!! I can’t ever start planning my itinerary, since it would be a waste if my Visa will be denied. God is on my side, it was APPROVED! Even other applicants are laughing at me On that day, I started doing my Itinerary. I actually tried to find a cheaper tourist package, since I don’t know anything in Korea, I don’t want to waste time, I wanted to visit many places […]

Korean Visa Requirement for Filipino Citizen

Visa
Korean Visa Requirement for Filipino Citizen

Planning of Visiting South Korea? First you will need to have a  Visa. What are the requirements to get a tourist visa for Filipinos?  It’s easy.  If you are an employee, you only need the following: Ø  Original copy of your COE (Certificate of Employment) – of course, you’ll get this from you company! Ø  Photocopy of your Latest ITR (request to your HR) Ø  Original copy of your savings bank account certificate  (at least 50thousand or above) Ø  If you are invited by your relative from Korea (include it)- optional Ø  Photocopy of the first page of your passport Ø  1 – 2×2 picture, or passport size picture Ø  Accomplish visa form (will be given at the Korean Embassy) Ø  If you have New Zealand, US, British or Japan Visa, include it also (optional)   Processing is 5 days. If it’s your first time to apply, it would be better if you’d tour other country, so your visa will be approved. If you will stay in South Korea for more than 11 days, then, you have to pay 1500, I think. But if shorter than that, it’s FREE.   Where can I find Korean Embassy? Korean Embassy is now located at McKinley Hills, Taguig City. How to get there? […]

Do-It-Yourself Tour to El Nido and Puerto Princesa, Palawan Philippines

DIY Itineraries/Philippines/Travel Stories
Do-It-Yourself Tour to El Nido and Puerto Princesa, Palawan Philippines

On Sept 22, 2012, I left manila for Puerto Princesa at 6:55am via Airphilexpress. It costs 1400PHP for 2 persons RT(Promo). We arrived at Puerto Princesa airport before 8am then, Eulen Van picked us there then headed to the terminal to pick up the other passengers. The fare from the airport to El Nido costs 600PHP per person. The road from Taytay to El Nido is really bumpy! But then, the views are splendid! Travel Time is approximately 5 to 6 hours with 2 stop over. We arrived at Stunning Vistas before 4pm. I booked for 2 nights there 🙂 cost us 2600 for 2 people. Fascinating views, since it is beachfront. We took the private tour, cost us 2500 each for A and C tour – Island Hopping. Tour A consists Small Lagoon, Big Lagoon, Shimizu Island, Secret Lagoon, Seven Commando Beach. While Tour B consists of Snake Island, Cudugnon Cave, Cathedral Cave, Pinagbuyutan Island Fabulous, Wonderful, Fantastic. I can’t find the perfect word to describe how happy I was seeing those enchanting beaches… White sand, clear/blue water, and the mountains… All green… the sky is so blue. There are many tourists we encountered. From 6am to 2pm, they […]
