Take a Walk Along Patara Beach in Turkey

Destinations/Europe
Take a Walk Along Patara Beach in Turkey

Known as one of the longest beach in the Mediterranean with its 18 km long beach trail, it’s left unspoiled and beautiful. Giving each and every tourist a picturesque scene, not only that but the beach itself has soft sand and the water is quite shallow. One of many known tourist destinations, but surprisingly it’s never crowded.

No kind of heavy development is allowed so it remains preserved and protected. This is the best beach for those who long for a great tan, due to the fact that there are only a handful of trees; the shade is scarce. So yeah, get ready for a tan whether you like it or not.

Patara Beach is teeming with wildlife, it became a breeding ground for the endangered loggerhead turtles. To give the turtles a time of peace, the beach is closed from May to October. Turtles aren’t the only animals that love that beach, various kinds of birds flock the area. But during the times that the beach is open, it’s really peaceful and we mean really peaceful, it’s not developed and there are no watersports, just peace and relaxation.

Of course sunbathing isn’t the only choice in the activity list. It’s a beach, so go ahead and swim your heart out. Also, the scenic views provide picture perfect moments or, with the multitude of birds present, you can go birdwatching. Frankly considered as one of the best tourist destinations in Turkey for the budget travelers. Quite a number of budget inns are available nearby, there are also cafés if you like.
