Become Witness to Croatia’s Stunning National Parks

Croatia has eight stunning national parks, each having their own distinct features that people flock to witness and experience. The names are Plivice, Krka, Mljet, Risnjak, Paklenica, Sjeverni Velebit, Kornati and Brijuni National Park. Each have their own fees and admission prices, though quite reasonable. Costs less if you visit during spring or autumn, summer holds the highest price.

Plitvice is the most visited, with 16 small and large lakes all having the distinct blue and green color. This is the perfect place for sightseers, photographers and hikers. Yes, it contains numerous waterfalls and lakes, but people aren’t allowed to swim because the water is clean and drinkable. Krka on the other hand is like a smaller version of Plitvice, but more developed and people can actually swim in it.

Mljet is not as crowded as the other parks so can really relax here, but it doesn’t mean that its beauty cannot match the others. It’s a truly magnificent sight all on its own, there’s a lake in the middle of an island and even a castle on the side. Risnjak might be the least visited of the national parks, but that doesn’t mean that you should steer clear. Teeming with different kinds of flora and fauna, let this national park appeal to the nature lover in you.

Paklenica has numerous cliffs, gorges, caves and grottoes. Famous for rock climbing and filled with adventurous tourists. Sjeverni Velebit is much like Paklenica, if you’re looking for an adventure in high places among the wonders of nature, then don’t think twice. Kornati presents you with an amazing opportunity to boat around the wonders of the islands. Brijuni has 14 islands and islets with incredible flora and fauna, it’s even called Heaven on Eathall. Now, all you have to do is choose.
