A visit to any theme park in the Philippines on a weekend is always fun and exciting. It always brings happiness to families and kids. Here are five theme parks that will surely make your weekend getaway a memorable one.

Enchanted Kingdom

Located in the heart of Santa Rosa City in the province of Laguna, Enchanted Kingdom is aptly called the “Disneyland” of the Philippines because of its wide array of musical shows and themed environments spread out in seven zones. Considered as the first and only world-class theme park in the Philippines, it is the most frequented park in the country. Among its rides include Logjam, Swan Lake, Rialto, and Space Shuttle. Entrance is worth P350 but ride-all-you can.

Avilon Zoo

Avilon Zoo is located in Barrio San Isidro, Rodriguez (formerly Montalban), Rizal. At present, it is the largest zoological institution in the Philippines. Avilon is home to around 3,000 species of exotic and indigenous wildlife such as large cats, roaring tigers, chimpanzees, and snakes. If you get tired from exploring, there are benches and huge rocks that you can sit on.

Manila Ocean Park

Manila Ocean Park is located behind Quirino Grandstand in Luneta, it ranks among the Philippines’ best parks. Designed to be an all-year, all-weather destination for both local and foreign tourists, it is the first and world-class oceanarium in the country owned by China Oceanis Philippines. The park is divided into seven zones namely Agos (Flow), Bahura (The Reef), Laot (Fishing Ground), Buhay na Karagatan(Living Ocean), Kalaliman (The Deep),Pagi (Sting Ray), and Pating (Shark). Entrance to Manila Ocean Park is varied depending on the package you will avail of.

Star City

Star City is located at the CCP Complex in Pasay City. The park is a great place to go for both kids and adults. It provides ultimate fun with its indoor and outdoor attractions. Among its rides include Bumper Boat, Viking Ship, Lazer Blaster, and Star Flyer. One of its major attractions is Snow World with its 15-degrees below zero temperature. Here you get to experience real snow and a snow ride. Take advantage of its ride-all-you-can package.

Clark Dinosaur Island

Inspired by the Steven Spielberg Jurassic Park, guests will get to experience life when dinosaurs once lived in the earth in Clark Dinosaur Island. Located in Clark, Angeles City, Pampanga, it is the first dinosaur theme park in the Philippines. Clark Dinosaur Island is the first Asia Animatronics Dinosaur Theme Park with its 30 life-sized moving dinosaur.
