In a city that‘s recognized not only as a home to some of the biggest movie studios in the world, and also as a place with one of the most progressive societies in the world, it‘s no surprise that cycling has an important place as a means to travel, exercise and explore the world.

If you‘re a bike enthusiast living in Los Angeles, you‘ll surely find plenty of places that are designed to ride a bike – and there‘s certainly much to see, since not only the city itself has a lot to offer, but the nature surrounding is magnificent as well.

Still, one might get overwhelmed by the choices and not discover some of the best places to ride with a bike – but for starters, if you want a true LA experience, you have to try these bicycle Tracks in Los Angeles.

Marvin Braude Bike Trail

Los Angeles is famous for its spectacular shoreline, and what better way to explore it than with a bicycle – that’s why the Marvin Braude Bike Trail is such a great place.

Stretching for about 20 miles, this trail provides cyclists with an opportunity to visit some of the iconic Los Angeles beach towns like Venice Beach, Hermosa and Redondo, Marina Del Rey, Santa Monica and others.

It’s not for those seeking a challenging ride, but rather those who just want to relax and see the beauty of the most famous shoreline in the entire West Coast.

Another gorgeous bicycle track is the Ballona Creek Bike Path, located between the coast and Culver city, it offers cyclists an amazing view of the Ballona Wetlands and the Baldwin Hills, and sometimes even the Santa Monica Mountains.

You drive along the waterway, and can have a more intimate experience than driving in the often crowded Marvin Braude Bike Trail, if that is what you prefer.

If you want to feel the inner city of the City of Angels, you have to take the trail from Lincoln Heights to Burbank. Although the trail is in need of a little renovation, it’s still a beautiful path to ride with a bike.

Going for approximately four miles, it parallels the Los Angeles River and consists of two separate paths. It’s great for anyone who wants to combine the feel of LA City while still getting the sense of nature around you.

Los Angeles is a modern city that is perfect for bike riders – it‘s compatible with all the cyclists needs, meaning that you‘ll be able to reach almost any spot in the city on a bike without much difficulty.

Exploring the city or the nature around it is great when you‘re on a bicycle, so take advantage of the many tracks that are available – you won‘t be disappointed!

There’s a lot more tracks that are awaiting to be discovered as you get to know the city and its surroundings better, but these three can help you get a grasp of Los Angeles and better understand what makes the city special, and great for bicycle riding lovers.
