Destinations/Europe
Barcelona: the Spanish Capital of Family Fun

Barcelona is located in the south of Spain and it offers a wide variety of activities, from young adults’ fun to ideal family vacations. As soon as you arrive at the Barcelona Airport, you can easily rent a car instead of having to deal with public transportation, which even though it is flawless, it is however rather limiting when it comes to destinations and time schedule. Renting a car when you arrive in Barcelona is very easy and it will allow you to have your own freedom, drive around in the comfort of a very safe vehicle and it will also enable you to go anywhere you want at the time that suits you best. This way, you won’t have to wait around for a bus or a train.

Barcelona is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in Spain and most certainly one of the cities that are mostly filled with history and culture. In fact, Barcelona is well known all over the world for its famous buildings that has been created and decorated by Antonio Gaudi, a Spanish artist that dedicated his life to building a church that unfortunately to this day is still unfinished. As the story goes, Gaudi decided to build La Sagrada Familia in honor of the Vergin Mary and Jesus Christ. In fact, Gaudi was a very religious man who whenever his set his mind on a project he would give his all to make sure it would come out exactly the way it looked in his mind. Gaudi spent all his money on trying to realize this project and he was living in the church that had only the façade with no roof because he did not have enough money to afford a place to live. He was killed by a tram not to long after he had started the project, which is why to this day La Sagrada Familia is still under construction.

Also, don’t forget that Barcelona is a short boat ride away from the famous Spanish islands of Mallorca, Minorca, Ibiza and Formentera. Therefore, if you are into partying and having a good time, make sure to stop by Ibiza while in Barcelona because this island has some of biggest clubs in Europe.
