Your Guide to Lanzarote Water Parks

Adventure Travel/Destinations
Your Guide to Lanzarote Water Parks

If you’re spending time on holiday in Lanzarote, you’ll need to know the best places to cool off. Lanzarote temperatures are often around 20°c even in the run up to Christmas, and can reach 30°c over the summer months. If you’re staying in a villa then you might have your own swimming pool, and you’ll want to make the most of it in between your visits to local attractions and your time on the beach, but did you know that Lanzarote also has some fantastic water parks for a fun and refreshing day out? Hotel Water Parks It’s worth noting that a majority of water parks in Lanzarote are little more than a hotel swimming pool with a few slides and water features. These might not sound impressive, but you’ll benefit from lower entry prices and they’re usually big enough to keep you occupied all day. Some hotel water parks are free to enter, and if you’re a hotel guest then you’ll have access to the hotel pool every single day. Two of the biggest and best hotel water parks are Aqualava and Dino Park: Aqualava The Aqualava Water Park used to be exclusively for guests at the Lanzasur Club […]

A Weekend At The Land Down Under

Work is an integral part of one’s life. You could be working on your own business or working for someone else but, at the end of the day, the usual and constant hustle and bustle of the city life can inevitably get to you. Fortunately, there are a number of ways by which you can deal with burnout, one of which is taking a vacation in some idyllic place. Now, if you happen to be a fan of the beach and surfing, one place that you might want to try is Australia. Know as the Land Down Under, Australia is located at the Pacific Ocean within the vicinity of Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and East Timor. What most people know as Australia is actually the Commonwealth of Australia and includes such smaller islands as Tasmania, Green Island, Crocodile Island, Tiwi Island, and Quail Island, to name a few. Considered as one of the largest countries by land, Australia also boasts of being one of the wealthiest countries in the whole world. Most of the residents in this country are from British and Irish lineage having come from the British Isles. Because of its land area, it is no surprise that […]

Why book Fiji for Schoolies week?

Mention Schoolies week and a “beach by day, party by night” mantra is at the forefront of our minds. Enter Fiji: an Instagram-ready paradise that ticks all the boxes is an ocean away from your school gates and has the added bonus of giving you the chance to soak up a little culture. Why Fiji… Only a few hours flight from Australia, Fiji affords you the luxury of being overseas without having to waste a single second on jetlag. It’s also become a hugely popular destination for school leavers, meaning there’s plenty of opportunity to party alongside like-minded teens. And you can tell your folks it’s without the crime and ‘toolies’ that have become synonymous with some other hotspots. Differing tastes mean travelling with a group can be tricky. Thankfully, the Pacific Islands are ‘choose your own adventure’ at its finest – thrill seekers are satisfied; those in need of culture get their prescribed dose; and R&R travellers can ensure swimming up to the pool bar is the most extreme activity they endure. Come sunset, the islands turn into party zones, but if you’re truly exhausted there’s no problem having a quiet night in. Convinced? Now all you have to […]

Last Minute Travel/Travel Tips
Things To Consider Before Travelling to Africa

Visiting Africa can bring great joy to many people. However, you need to be prepared for anything when you visit the continent. This is the reason why you should plan the tour in advance, especially if you have never been to the continent or country before. Some of the most visited countries in Africa include South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Egypt, Morocco, Zambia and Botswana. Although Botswana is a country in the heart of the Namib Desert, the existence of a small paradise with the marula fruit, which is the special delicacy for amarula the drink as made it a major tourist destination. Depending with the country you want to visit, here are a few things you should understand. Understand what the national language is Most countries in Africa are still developing, and language is a major barrier in tourism. This means you need to prepare yourself to embrace this, but at least understand what language that country uses as the national language. The national language depends with the colonial government that colonized that country. If you are visiting Kenya for example, English is widely used and understood within cities and towns. This does not however mean that everyone understands […]

Seine Cruise Trips: A Good Way To Rekindle The Romance

One of the best ways of rekindling the romance in your relationship is by simply going for a river cruise with your partner. Most river cruises have an element of romance and comfort about them, so they are most ideal for when you need to spend some quality time with your loved one. Of all the destinations you can choose for this, France is one of the most romantic. The Seine river cruise for example is deemed to be one of the most romantic that you can enjoy in the country. River cruises on the Seine are focussed primarily on sightseeing, usually around the city of Paris. Most cruise operators normally organise cruises that last around one week long. Of this, around two days are spent in and around the city of Paris. Afterwards, they normally sail Northwest, towards the English Channel and Honfleur. There are several stops during the cruise in points of interest including at Giverny (which happens to be the hometown of Claude Monet) as well as in Rouen. Guests also visit Normandy beach to see some of the memorial sites put up in commemoration of D Day. This being France, you can expect the best in […]

Why not to take a Gap Year before Uni

Why not to take a Gap Year before Uni

For many students, finishing school with A-levels means having reached a major milestone in their lives and they, understandably, want to relax and allow the stresses of academic study fall away. For those, the temptation to take a gap year before embarking on a university programme is strong. Gap years have become fashionable, to take a year out and go and have an adventure or get some work experience. There are, however, good reasons not to delay taking up higher education. Financial reasons While some students taking a gap year work hard and manage to save up money to put towards the costs of higher education, many more find the opposite it true. Instead of working through the year they reward themselves for past hard work with a year off, either undertaking voluntary programmes or simply taking extended travelling holidays. While both these things are mentally enriching and can be character-building and give you practice at staying in student accommodation, they do not help towards the end objective of getting a degree. Volunteer programmes can be expensive and travelling is notoriously costly. The student who takes this route is likely to find him or herself in restricted financial straits at […]

Different Types Of Secure Equipment Cases

Adventure Travel/Travel Tips
Different Types Of Secure Equipment Cases

Security needs to be a focus wherever you go. Whether you’re traveling by foot, car, plane, train, or any other mode of transportation, you have to choose a case that secures your equipment. You cannot take anything for granted. Each step you take creates a vibration and this vibration can become extensive enough that it damages your equipment. When you choose secure equipment cases, there are a few things you need to consider. Your case has to be secure enough to: – Take with you on travel – Handle being moved by different people – Withstand the environment you expose it to – Be strong enough to last A soft-padded case is likely not going to work when you’re talking about security. You can’t expect the soft pads to hold up against being tossed around in baggage claim or being strapped to the roof of the hum-vee while you make your way out to the middle of the desert. Whether you’re in computers, medicine or any other industry, you have to know what kind of environment you’re going to be up against. This includes during transport as well as once you arrive to your destination. The equipment case is meant […]
