Top 50 Popular Travel Quotes

Here are some of the most famous travel quotations from popular people. “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” – Mark Twain  “The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” – St. Augustine  “There are no foreign lands. It is the traveler only who is foreign.” – Robert Louis Stevenson  “The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are.” – Samuel Johnson  “All the pathos and irony of leaving one’s youth behind is thus implicit in every joyous moment of travel: one knows that the first joy can never be recovered, and the wise traveler learns not to repeat successes but tries new places all the time.” – Paul Fussell  “Our battered suitcases were piled on the sidewalk again; we had longer ways to go. But no matter, the road is life.” – Jack Kerouac  “He who does not travel does not know the value of men.” – Moorish proverb  “People travel to faraway places to watch, in fascination, the kind of people they ignore at home.” – Dagobert D. Experience a Retirement Community Like A Summer Camp for Adults

The retirement years are usually the crossroads in human life. At this point in time, we start to make decisions on what we want to do with the last years of our life. One of the biggest choices we need to make is whether or not to spend the last years of our life in a retirement community. This is a major decision to make because you will be spending your life away from your loved ones. Deciding on living the rest of your life in a retirement facility entails answering a lot of questions which can lead to a lot of stress and worries that could keep you from seeing the positive more than the negative. Living in a retirement community is like staying in a summer camp for adults. You get to stay with like-minded people who are also already thinking of what to do during the last years of their life. But more than that, one can also find comfort, peace of mind, and solace in such facility. Importance of Choosing a Great CCRC – Addressing The Needs of Old Age

As people get older, their needs also increase. They require some kind of help which traditional homes may not be able to provide. Aside from their physical condition, senior citizens will also have to deal with the emotional factors associated with getting old. Addressing all of their needs can be a daunting task for someone living in a traditional home. With continuing care retirement communities (CCRC), senior citizens will have peace of mind and assurance that all their needs will be taken cared of. They are living in a neighbourhood that provides them with access to higher levels of care. These communities provide a combination of residential care, independent and assisted living, and skilled nursing. This way, they can easily move from one level of care to another. There are many retirement communities out there. But how do you go about choosing the right CCRC for your parents. The best way to do it is to visit the facility personally so that you can see for yourself what the place has to offer. Remember, it is important to find the right CRCC because it is the happiness, safety, and comfort of your parents that will be at stake. They will […]

Retirement Communities For Senior Golfers

Retirement Communities For Senior Golfers

My dad has grown old already but his passion for golf has never gone away. Even though he has made a decision to spend his remaining years in the comforts of a retirement community, one of the features that he looked for is a golf course. Fortunately, most retirement communities offer such amenity to their residents and one such facility is Devonshire CRCC. When it comes to golf, Devonshire is acknowledged as one of the leaders when it comes to golf course retirement communities. However, other states are now offering these facilities to lure senior citizens to live there. It used to be that your grandfather or old parents would consider living a retirement community in the Sunshine state because of the golf course. Now, wherever he is located, he will surely choose to retire there because of golf. Long ago, senior citizens would be willing to relocate or live somewhere else as long as the temperature remains warm for the entire year. But now, aside from the temperature, one of the things they will look for in a retirement community like Devonshire CRCC is a golf course. Hardly will you find a senior citizen who will live in a […]

Jeju Island Revisited – Museum of Sex and Health Education

When I went to Jeju Island, I didn’t research for places to go, I just let my feet bring me anywhere. I remember watching the Korean Drama IRIS of Kim Tae Hee and Lee Byung Hun, the tower where he died. I must go there! Luckily, It’s along the way! One of my greatest discoveries is the Sex and Health Museum! Everything you see in this museum is depicts of “SEX”, from statues to photographs, to visual presentation, videos and more! You can also check “LoveLand” While I was in Jeju, my mode of transportation are bus and taxi only. Take note that buses have daily time schedule, and I swear, waiting for buses each time will cost a lot of your time, so better take a taxi if you want to make it. MUSEUM AS ITS BEST

First time in Vietnam: My Valentine Escapade to Vietnam – Dalat Part 2

For the second part of my Vietnam getaway, I availed of a customized travel package from a travel agency in Ho Chi Minh. Took the sleep bus heading to Dalat, 9pm to 4am. Dalat is like Baguio, Philippines in terms of weather. It’s cold. Like Ho Chi Minh, there are many motorcycles everywhere, be careful in crossing the road. You can actually buy flowers here that will last 3-5 years for a very cheap price. I forgot what type of insect is this, but its delicious. You have to pay 40,000 Dong for the entrance fee. Its worth it. My favorite places in Dalat are the Valley of Love and Crazy House. It’s beautiful in there. Check my previous entry of my Sweet Escapade in Vietnam – ho Chi Minh here.
