How To Get A Visa For A Holiday in Vietnam

How To Get A Visa For A Holiday in Vietnam

Getting a visa to be able to travel to Vietnam is a must. With a few exceptions from some citizens of some countries, you might be denied entry without a visa. In fact, most airlines will not allow you to board on a plane without a prearranged visa or approval letter. The most common way you can get a visa for spending holidays in Vietnam is to apply for a Visa on Arrival from a third-party agency. Take note that this is different from an e-Visa which is issued by a private company. Take note that the Visa on Arrival is only applicable if your point of entry for your Vietnam travel is from the three major international airports namely: Saigon, Hanoi, or Da Nang. If you are going overland from a neighboring country, secure a travel visa from a Vietnamese embassy. Here now are the steps for getting a Visa on Arrival: 1. Apply online Travel agencies will usually charge around $20 for the online application of your Visa on Arrival. The process usually takes 2-3 days although you can expedite it for a minimal fee. If your stay is longer than 30 days, the visa processing is 7 […]

What to do and How to get to Pagudpud Island

Destinations/Philippines
What to do and How to get to Pagudpud Island

Facing the West Philippine Sea in the northern part of Ilocos Norte, Pagudpud Island is a sight to behold. Its amazing white sand beaches lined with coconut trees and crystal-blue water is something that you should not miss when heading out to the northern portion of the country. Saud Beach is where all the action takes place and where most of the more posh accommodations is located. If you prefer a more private and quiet place, head out to the Blue Lagoon in Barangay Balaoi. Catch a glimpse of fishermen hauling in their catch of a huge lapu lapu (grouper) or lobster. If you are in luck, you may be able to buy them for a bargain price and have it cooked in a nearby restaurant shack. How To Get There Pagudpud Island is accessible through air and land transportation. From Manila, book a flight to Laoag International Airport and take a 90-minute drive to Pagudpud. Via land, there are provincial buses and vans that traverse the Laoag-Pagudpud route. Ride a bus going to Claveria or Tuguegarao and ask the driver to drop you off at the Pagudpud Baduang Market. Another option is to ride a jeepney or mini-bus to […]
