Travelling to Croatia’s Plitvice National Park and Slovenia’s Lake Bled

Travelling to Croatia’s Plitvice National Park and Slovenia’s Lake Bled

Day 1
It’s been a while since I travel alone, more than a year I think. I kinda miss it, so here I am, at florence bus terminal in Praha, about to embark on my new escapade! I’m going to Croatia and then Slovenia.
I’m taking Flixbus that departs at 7:30am to Vienna Edberg. I prefer Flixbus among other bus companies because it has more room for your legs, well, I’m not tall but I get uncomfortable with small space like the Student Agency Bus, another advantage of this bus is the price, it’s a lot cheaper compare to others.

After 3 hours waiting in Vienna bus station, I took the bus headed to Zagreb, Croatia.

What makes autumn the best season to travel to Himalaya

The Great Himalaya Range, with its statuesque Everest Peak, attracts hundreds of adventure travelers every year. To many, exploring Himalaya’s wilderness, meeting the people and admiring the surroundings is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

However, in order to have a safe hike and avoid unexpected dangers, you should choose your season carefully. Autumn for example – between the months of September and November – is the best time to explore Nepal.
The weather conditions are sunny and clear throughout the day and warm in the night in these months.

Events in Siena in July 2016: the Palio and other Summer events in Siena

Events in Siena in July 2016: the Palio and other Summer events in Siena

Are you planning to spend a peaceful weekend or a nice holiday in Siena this Summer? If so, you will certainly be interested in knowing the events in Siena that will take place in July of 2016, the middle month of Summer during which the city of the Palio comes alive with folklore and exclusive occurrences. In addition to the center of Siena, during the month of July events will take place also in Chianti, Val d’Orcia and Val d’Elsa.

The main events in and around Siena in July 2016

The Palio of the 2nd ofJuly itself is the first event for which you should already be looking for a nice accommodation near the city center! A practical advice on this regards: choose the Hotel Italia in Siena, a 3-stars hotel near the city walls, but outside the restricted traffic zone. Booking a hotel near the center but outside the restricted traffic zone like the Hotel Italia allows to reach the hotel by car, but also to reach Piazza del Campo easily on foot, with a nice walk of 15/20 minutes, to enjoy the race and the parade with historic costumes, the decorations of the square and all the multicolored folklore that surrounds this historic event.

Take a Walk Along Patara Beach in Turkey

Take a Walk Along Patara Beach in Turkey

Known as one of the longest beach in the Mediterranean with its 18 km long beach trail, it’s left unspoiled and beautiful. Giving each and every tourist a picturesque scene, not only that but the beach itself has soft sand and the water is quite shallow. One of many known tourist destinations, but surprisingly it’s never crowded.

No kind of heavy development is allowed so it remains preserved and protected. This is the best beach for those who long for a great tan, due to the fact that there are only a handful of trees; the shade is scarce. So yeah, get ready for a tan whether you like it or not.

Take in Lake Bled’s Fairy Tale Scene in Slovenia

Destinations/Europe
Take in Lake Bled’s Fairy Tale Scene in Slovenia

People who don’t believe in fairy tales have obviously never heard of Lake Bled. With just one look you get the impression of myths, magic, royalty and other surreal ideas. Just head towards the Julian Alps, northwest of Slovenia to experience a popular and otherworldly tour.

One of the most fascinating sight in this tourist destination is the small and peaceful island in the middle of Lake Bled called Bled Island. At first sight, that island might seem a little lonely and sad, but it actually isn’t. A church was built during the end of the 17th century, it was dedicated to the Assumption of Mary and it had Gothic frescos and Baroque equipment. Presently, weddings can be held here and it happens quite regularly. It’s even considered good luck for the groom if he carries the bride all the way up through the 98 stone steps that leads to the top.

Skydiving in Czech Republic

Adventure Travel/DIY Itineraries/Travel Tips
Skydiving in Czech Republic

One of my greatest challenges to myself is to do Skydiving. I did bungee jumping before, so this year, I took the challenge. I skydived in my 27th Birthday!

I booked my sky diving at Skycentrum, you can contact them through Veronika (fiserova.veronika@post.cz) – She’s the nicest ever! I paid 5620 KC (213 Euros) which includes Tandem jump + USB HD Video and Photos, and RT transfers.

The jump took place in Pribram airport, an hour away from Prague. The shuttle will take you there, as soon as you arrive in the place, you’ll see the amazing crew. First, you will be asked to wear the jump suit, get short training or should I say rules to follow when jumping. You have nothing to be scared off, all the crew are professional.
