The Modern Paradise that is New York City

In terms of cultural, social and economic importance, there may be no more important city in the world than the one that is affectionately known as The Big Apple. Tucked into the Northeastern region of the United States is what many consider to be the cradle of modern civilization. This is the place where people from literally all walks of life join together to create the most fascinating cross-section of society than has ever been seen. It is a city rivaled by none in terms of prestige. It is also the city that serves as the home to some of the most remarkable landmarks in human history.

The World’s Cultural Center

Traveling to New York City is like traveling to artist heaven. Confined within the city’s limits is arguably the finest collection of art anywhere in the world. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, a prominent part of the city landscape, holds some of the most priceless works of art that ever been conceived. Art from all corners of the world have been gathered into this location and the scope of brilliance is simply breathtaking. Branching off into another art form is the famed Carnegie Hall. Long considered to be the premiere concert venue in the entire world, Carnegie Hall has played to some of the famous acts in music as well as to the finest orchestras that have ever been put together. Broadway is yet another world famous venue offering tourists a sampling of the local art scene. The finest theater actors and actresses gather at this cultural locale to perform some of the world’s most beloved plays.

New York and Its Icons

The city of New York is also home to some of the world’s most famous landmarks. Lady Liberty stands proudly along the banks of the city, welcoming immigrants and tourists alike to The City That Never Sleeps. After a visit with the Lady, tourists can head on over to the Empire State Building and marvel at one of the most historically important structures in the history of the world. Also located within the city is the iconic Rockefeller Center. Located within this complex is an array of breathtaking skyscrapers defining the city skyline.

A Taste of New York

The city of New York is also home to the finest of the fine-dining establishments. Acclaimed Chef Daniel Boulud gives customers tastes they can never forget in his establishment, Restaurant Daniel. Also found along the New York culinary scene is the famed Le Bernardin. This restaurant is renowned for its seafood and it features some of the most delectable eats that can be had anywhere in the world.

The City Goes on Holiday

The holidays in New York are always special particularly because of all the parades. During St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween and on Thanksgiving, the city empties its streets of cars in favor of colorful costumes and festive revelers. Holiday cheer is always in abundance in New York City and it is just one of the many reasons why this is the most famous city in the world.
