Ranking 4th in the QS World University Rankings this year, University College London is quite attractive for international students, which represents 1/3 of its student body. This multidisciplinary institute is divided into 10 faculties with campuses conveniently situated in the heart of Central London. The main campus in Gower Street is just a short walk from most of the city’s cultural institutions, the party environment of Soho, the entertainment center, and Oxford Street, the well-renowned shopping district.

Imperial College London

Always keeping in step with UCL in the rankings, Imperial College London placed 5th this year in the QS Global Top 10. This prestigious science-focused institution highlights the importance of laboratory work to complement teaching and research. Its global appeal is reflected in the high number of international students enrolled in its halls. The main campus is located in South Kensington and is close to attractions like Hyde Park, Royal Albert Hall, Harrods, and several of London’s biggest museums.

King’s College London

King’s College London (KCL) climbs seven notches to 19th in the world. It excels in a wide range of subjects. KCL has also shown a strong international presence which is complemented by its world-leading academics and a plethora of scholarship opportunities. It has five London campuses, four of which are in Thames, right in the center of London and near famous landmarks.

London School of Economics and Political Science

The only university in the United Kingdom specializing in social sciences, London School of Economics and Political Science lands in 68th position this year. However, it gets a higher ranking in most of the individual subject rankings, which strengthens its stature as the pioneer in subjects such as international relations, politics, sociology, law, and accounting. The international students enrolled in this cosmopolitan university come from more than 150 countries.

Queen Mary, University of London
