Top Things to Visit in London

From London with Love

London is a gift for romance seekers, a place to create everlasting memories with that “someone special” who has captured your heart.Whether your idea of the romantic bliss is an afternoon picnic, stargazing, or wandering around a scenic garden hand-in-hand, London is all set to spread love. Here are a few of the romantic things to doin London, full of originality and spontaneity allowing you to focus on the main event – each other.
A Stroll in Little Venice
London may not have the reputation of Venice for being a romantic city, but London has its own Little Venice that’s equally majestic as the real one. When Robert Browning coined the term Little Venice, he was talking about the area where the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal and Regent’s canal meet. Pretty waterways are lined with canal boats adorned with hanging baskets, tomatoes, and lettuce. Whilst wandering around this picturesque place, make sure you pop into Canal Café Theatre where you can enjoy a glass of wine and later a comedy slot (Thursday to Sunday).

A Picnic at Primrose Hill
If you want to take in the majestic panorama of the city holding the hand of your beloved, Primrose Hill is the place to be.Enjoy a leisurely wander with your partner climbing the steep slopes whilst also admiring the panoramic views of London city and its sky-high buildings. After the stroll, you can regain strength in the cosy cafes, pubs, and restaurants nearby. To enhance your pleasure, get off at Camden Town and enjoy walking along the canal. If it’s a clear breezy day, take kite, hats, champagne and make the most of your sunset experience.

A Journey of the Universe
If you really want to sweep your partner off her feet, take her to the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. You along with your partner will love to enjoy a glass of bubbly and take a glimpse of the stars in the planetarium where all real images are projected onto an immersive dome, taking you across galaxies, fly you to the heart of the sun, and land you on Mars. Your partner will never forget this ultimate journey across the Universe. Plenty of shows are held throughout the week. However, make sure you buy tickets for Undiscovered Worlds allowing you to explore the exoplanets. Tickets for adults start from £6.50.

Valentines Mansion & Gardens
Aptly named, this beautiful brick country house is tucked away in acres of wonderful countryside in Ilford, London. Complete with a splendid Victorian kitchen and Georgian rooms, the house offers striking views over the surrounding parkland that includes an English walled garden, a canal, and a Victorian rose garden. The gardens host a choice of events including the open-air theatre and farmer markets. Art exhibitions and installations also happen year round, making it a popular haunt for tourists. Located just a few steps from Grand Hill tube and open on Tue, Wed, and Sun, this wonderful place is a sure relaxing retreat in the middle of bustling London.

A Room for Romance
Nothing gets the heart racing quite like unbridled luxury and London has many luxury hotels to quicken your pulse. From bubble bath and champagne together to rose petals on the bed, whatever is your idea of a romantic vacation, London hotels make it come true. There are a few hotels in London that literally breathe romance like Rubens at the Palace, 41 Hotel, and Grange St Paul’s Hotel. You could stay in a cosy Victorian townhouse with a working fireplace or a riverside luxury hotel like Park Plaza Riverbank London. Choices are endless! All you need to do is know where to look. A few websites like Visitlondon.com and Londonhotels4u.com and have dedicated section for boutique and romantic hotels that you’ll just fall in love with.
The Love Float
If anything can be called the most romantic thing to do in London, it has to be a walk along Thames. Every city has a river to romanticize it, Paris has Seine, Rome has Tiber, Venice has Po, and London has Thames. When in London, don’t forget to enjoy a riverside walk along the Thames. To explore the hidden treasures of the river, take a kayaking tour. If you’re feeling a bit adventurous, enjoy a RIB boat ride with your lover. Feel the exhilaration of your love along with the winds whilst cutting through Thames. It’s a perfect way to rekindle that fire of love between the two of you. However, if you want to take a slower approach, enjoy a delicious candlelight dinner on a floating restaurant likeBateaux London.
London nests love birds like no other city in the world. And these romantic activities will definitely make your beloved fall in love with you again.
