Hello. It has always been my dream to visit Vienna Austria, the land of music. Ever heard of the great Mozart? It’s him! He was born and raised here in Vienna. Since I am currently based in Prague, I simply booked a bus ticket from Prague to Vienna, since I’m <26, and a holder of ISIC card, I got a 15% discount. I pay 31.5Euro for my RT bus transfer at student agency. I booked a hostel reservation to A&H Hostel at Reunmanplatz for 3 nights – 41Euro. Just few blocks away from the metro, or a block to bus station. I also downloaded a Tripadvisory Vienna App to My phone, so I will have ideas where to go. Make sure you got the updated metro map of Vienna! I purchased the 72 hours metro ticket, take note, you can also use this to take tram and buses. Just buy your ticket on the ticket machine and don’t forget to validate it!!! My favorite place in Vienna is the Schoburnn Palace and Garden. Go there, so you’ll know why! My second would be the Belvedere Palace and the Hofburg Palace. Since Vienna is known for classical music, you must not […]

To be fair, hurtling down the sides of steep mountains, wearing very tight clothes at eye watering speeds is not everyone’s cup of tea. We are, of course, talking about skiing, the adrenalin charged, fast paced sport of most snowy places. Learning to ski to an acceptable level does not actually take that much time, and you don’t really need to be that fit or athletic. You do, of course, have to have a certain physical ability, but once you are on the slope it is pretty much is all downhill. That said, like any extreme sport, the further you take it, the more demanding it becomes until you eventually achieve higher levels of skill, fitness and acquire the much sought after steely nerve. However, before you go out and book a ticket to France or Austria, here are a few tips you could definitely learn from. Take the first steps. Whatever you do, don’t go on a skiing holiday with friends or family if they offer to teach you whilst you are there. The friend or family member generally makes a terrible skiing coach who will bore quickly and eventually say the magic words ‘you’ll be fine’. This, […]
Ha Long Bay has to be one of the most visited sites in Vietnam. Its sheer beauty is a major draw card for millions of visitors each year who spend time on boat cruises drifting in and out of the thousands of islands. While most tours involve cave visits, kayaking and swimming, there are a few activities which have passed underneath the radar despite how amazing they are. Here are four of the top underrated experiences you should check out when touring Ha Long Bay in the future. Mountain Biking While most of the area’s activities are water based, few realise that there are actually some larger islands which you can explore on bike. Cat Ba is the best of these as there are a number of trails to choose from. You can also see plenty of wild animals while there. If you’re lucky, maybe you’ll spot a Cat Ba Langur, a primate unique to the island and one of the most endangered in the world. While touring the island, also remember to stop in at villages such as Viet Hai for a unique look at the local culture and lifestyle. Bicycles can be rented on the island so […]
The island of Koh Samui is one of Thailand’s most popular holiday destinations. Travellers with a range of budgets, from backpackers to luxury holidaymakers, will find that there’s something for everyone. Single people, groups of friends and families can all find the perfect holiday on Koh Samui. Whether they enjoy sports, nature, parties or just lounging on the beach, there’s fun everywhere. There are plenty of things to see and do, including many that you just can’t leave the island without experiencing. Big Buddha The Big Buddha statue is possibly Koh Samui’s most famous landmark. The statue is located on a small rocky island, just off Koh Samui’s northeastern point. Far from being an ancient landmark, the 12-metre golden statue was built in 1972. Locals know it as Wat Phra Yai, and you can reach it by a causeway connecting it to the main island. If you arrive in Koh Samui by aeroplane, the Big Buddha may be one of the first things you see as you arrive. You can see it from a distance of several kilometres. The Big Buddha temple is not just an artistic attraction though. The temple is a sacred place, so be sure to dress […]

Whether you are looking for historical towns and cities or beautiful beaches, Europe has something to offer for people of all ages. If you have never been to mainland Europe before, here are a few tips that may just help you along the way.
