Britain’s Best Running Roots

Travel Tips
Britain’s Best Running Roots

With all of Britain’s natural sights and great activities, running will give you an opportunity to experience the best of both worlds. Everywhere you look at any route, there’s always something magical and exceptional to see. Of course you don’t have to really run until you’re out of breath; you can take your time, walk and look around even closer.

East Cornwall is an amazing running route that also provides a magnificent view of fishing villages and breathtaking beaches. The gentle winds also provide great comfort in spite of the sun. The South Downs is located near the Eastbourne with chalk hills extending from the Itchen Valley. It provides a close-cropped turf that resulted from centuries of grazing.

The Howgills is found just within the borders of Yorkshire Dales National Park. Perfect for those who search for something a little more quiet and tranquil. Known for grassy hillsides, stony trails, craggy outcrops and cascading waterfalls you can find your own little adventure without the worry of disturbance.

Southern Snowdania is just the place for those walkers, climbers and runners who want a more rugged experience. Glyder Ridge being the classic run with its 700 meters or ascent. Also seen there is the Cadair Idris Mountain which is surrounded by the legend of a giant that resided there in the Welsh folklore, whose great chair crowns the summit. Fort William & Lochaber is a kind of hub for the outdoor enthusiasts in us. Almost all of those outdoorsy sports can be done here; running, hiking, walking, mountain biking, you name it.
