Arizona’s Ultimate Rafting Experience

Adventure Travel/Destinations/North America
Arizona’s Ultimate Rafting Experience

For the most adventurous travellers, white water rafting is one of the best activities you can find all over the world. With this being the case, it can sometimes be a daunting task to find the right rafting destination. All fears aside, one of the top places to go white water rafting is the Colorado River down in the Grand Canyon. It is an adventure so wild, that you need multiple days to finish the trip. There are actually a few ways that you can go about taking a rafting trip through the Grand Canyon. The first is rafting into the canyon and then hiking out to the upper rim. The other option is to hike down to the bottom followed by a multiday rafting trip out of the canyon. Either way, you cannot go wrong when you are visiting one of the most dynamic destinations in America. Going with the latter of the two, many people prefer to hike down into the Grand Canyon as opposed to hiking up. Depending on which trail you take to the bottom, it will probably be around 7 miles long. It is suggested that you start your hike as early as possible, so […]

Discovering the Island of Batanes, Philippines ~ My Sanctuary

Asia/Budget Travel/Last Minute Travel/Philippines/Travel Stories
Discovering the Island of Batanes, Philippines ~ My Sanctuary

I’ve been anticipating my plan to go to Batanes last December 2013, but my flights have been canceled twice, so I have to go for another airlines which is Philippine Airlines. Travelling to Batanes has been tagged as really expensive, well that’s partly true. To tour Batanes the cheapest way, you have to wait for Airline Seatsale! Since I cannot wait anymore, I booked my flight despite its high price. I intend to unwind in Batanes, so this time, I availed of Full Board Package at Batanes Seaside Lodge instead of doing in on my own. My package details can be found here. Since I am travelling solo, I pay P16,000. I also made a request to take a motorbike instead of Van. Even if you do it on your own, it will still cost you much. You would need to hire a tourguide, or a car, since there isn’t always PUV passing by. I think you have to hire a tricycle or rent a bike. I arrived in Batanes 8am via PAL Express. FREEZING COLD! A guy from Batanes Seaside lodge fetched me ( I forgot his name!) I love my room! It’s facing the beach, and there’s also […]

Philippines/Tour Package/Travel Stories
One Day Tour to Corregidor Philippines via Sun Cruises

I availed 3 tickets for a One Day Tour in Corregidor last year during the Travel Mart Expo in Moa for only P1600 each. That includes the RT Ferry, Tour Bus and Buffet Lunch. In case you missed it, you can check Sun Cruises homepage for the prices. There are also several activities you might want to try, camping is also possible. Corregidor is known for its historical value. It’s a good place to go back to the times when Japanese invaded PH in 1941. It is a small island in Cavite, and approximately 48km away from Manila Bay. I called Sun Cruises for advance reservation on January 16, 2014. How to get to Sun Cruises? VIA EDSA Take MRT going to Taft Ave MRT From Taft MRT transfer to LRT 1 Edsa and go to LRT Vito Cruz (P12) From Vito Cruise, walk to Rizal Stadium and take the orange jeep going to CCP Drop off to Sun Cruises Go to Reservation Boot and get your Boarding Sticker. Aviation Accidents have Many Causes and Outcomes

Airplane accidents are limited in numbers, thanks to far-reaching safety initiatives maintained by airports and pilots. The magnitude of large-scale air disasters calls for fortifications in the way safe air travel is managed, so stringent regulations are enforced to keep the process as safe as possible. High safety standards are in place at every level of the airline industry, most occurring behind closed doors, unknowingly to the passengers who depend on them. When even the slightest breakdown occurs, danger is amplified among air travelers. Copenhagen’s Most Exciting Nightspots

Destinations/Europe/Travel Tips
Copenhagen’s Most Exciting Nightspots

Copenhagen’s nightlife is at its most vibrant during the later part of the week, and especially at weekends. As in many cities, the nightspots tend to be concentrated in a few areas. Norrebro and Vesterbro districts have some of the most popular clubs. Elsewhere you can find clubs to suit nearly every musical taste and also good restaurants, cafés and bars which feature music and also stay open late. Rust Rust is a long-established Copenhagen nightspot with facilities which include four bars and three separate floors. This makes for a great night out, offering plenty of variety from Wednesday right through to Saturday. Rust’s live stage features the best Danish bands playing a mix of music genres from indie rock and pop, through to hip-hop and electronica formats. The atmosphere is fun and easy going and Denmark’s best DJs, along with occasional appearances from international DJs too, help to keep the music and the crowd going until late – which generally means around 5 a.m. Karriere Karriere is a pleasant mix of bar, restaurant and café, founded by sculptural artist, Jeppe Hein, and his sister, Lærke.
