America’s Small Towns: Visiting Historic Doylestown, Pennsylvania

When traveling, one can sometimes overlook or genuinely miss out on the small towns of the world. Many will gravitate towards the major, well-known cities, but we cannot forget the other culturally rich towns across the globe. In the suburban outskirts of Philadelphia, there is the small town of Doylestown, Pennsylvania. It is easy to get to, as it is the last stop from Center City on the Lansdale/Doylestown Regional Rail Line. Taking the train provides for reliable and convenient transportation and allows for the perfect escape from the bustling city; it even gives you some time to simply relax and watch the scenery fly by your window. Doylestown is a place that is filled with music, art, and great coffee. It is the hometown of several artists, writers, musicians, and several other public figures. The most notable would be James A. Michener (writer), Henry Chapman Mercer (architect), Pearl S. Buck (noble prize winning author), and Pink (pop-star). When in Doylestown, be sure to make an appearance at the James A.
