The Chernobyl Disaster reached a whole new level of danger. Considered as the worst nuclear power plant accident in history. It rose to a level 7 event, which only it and Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster hold. 500,000 heroes emerged from the disaster, each and every one of them fought to contain the disaster knowing in mind the dangers that it presented. Sadly, people died and a lot more caught the long lasting effects of nuclear radiation. The Ukrainian National Chornobyl Museum was established in 1992 as a tribute to the heroic acts and victims of the disasters, it also educates the lookers about the magnitude of the catastrophic event. On your way in, you’ll walk by road signs on either side, they represent the abandoned villages due to the disaster. Attendants will meet with you and guide you through the museum, there’s also an audio background explaining what happened during those events. There are tons of other exhibits, some are so real looking while others are kind of disturbing, and so if you have kids with you steer clear of some.
