Planning for Summer Holidays

Travel Insurance/Travel Tips
Planning for Summer Holidays

Summer is on its way and for many lucky Brits that means a trip abroad with family or friends. It would be great if the days and weeks before a summer holiday could only be spent jumping up down with excitement, but the fact is there is plenty of planning to do. Those who don’t make plans before their holiday could find themselves in a great deal of bother when the time comes to make the journey to the airport and fly abroad. Travel insurance Booking travel insurance isn’t legally compulsory, but the majority of holiday-goers are keen to spend a few pounds on protecting themselves against horrific hospital bills abroad. There are plenty of travel insurance companies around and it’s worth comparing premiums to make sure you get the best value deal for your holiday. This is especially true for tourists with medical conditions, as the premiums offered to them are likely to wildly vary. There are specialist travel insurance companies online and it might be worth visiting these websites if you want to deal with a company that knows your medical condition inside out. Those planning any sort of potentially dangerous activities like water sports, winter sports, mountain […]

When we arrived at the Airport, a hotel staff from Flushing Meadows resort fetched us together with other group who also purchased the same package. Outside the airport (waiting area) Flushing Meadows Resort It is located beachfront – white sand. When we arrived at the hotel, they welcome us and gave us drinks  We just get the room key and headed to our room to rest a bit and then, went to the restaurant inside the hotel premises for lunch coz we were too HUNGRY 😀 Here’s the view from the hotel: Day 2 We decided to take our country side tour consisting of Bohol’s finest tourist spots. Discover the Treasures of Cyprus: 10 Things You Shouldn’t Miss

Cyprus is one of the European tourist destinations that offer very rich historical and natural attractions in close proximity. Cyprus is a more economical destinations as compared to the rest of Europe and Egypt. But there are far more attractive and satisfying reasons for visiting this island nation. 1. Take the Most Unforgettable Wine Tasting Tour Ever One of the most special elements of the Cyprus experience is the local wineries. While you could always visit the Wine Museum in Limassol to learn in depth about the history of local wineries, but nothing matches living the experience in the field. You can taste the delicious Cypriot liquors at their purest right where they are distilled and brewed. The major wine tour routes are based in Paphos and Limassol districts. The major Paphos routes are the Laona-Akamas (Mesogi-Polis Chrysochus), the Vouni-Panagia-Ambelitis and the Diarizos Valley routes starting at Acheleia. The Limassol district offers the Kraschoria-Lemesou (Kolossi-Avdimou), Pitsilia (Mesa Geitonia-Palodeia) and Koumandaria (Kolossi-Agi Fyla) routes. Checking the local Xynisteri and Mavro grape varieties can be a real pleasure. Don’t forget to catch the annual Limassol Wine Festival in September to celebrate this Cypriot rich tradition. 2. Take a Dip in the Mediterranean […]

3 Commonly Forgotten Insurance Types for Your Overseas Holidays

On your next overseas holiday, be mindful of these commonly forgotten insurance types. These insurances can help save you a significant amount of money if an accident occurs. Many people who have accidents on holiday are often put in a financial bind. A financial bind may cause significant hardship on a family and cause them stress and loss of assets. Every family should have insurance while on a holiday. Here are the most important types that I have found. 1. Overseas Medical Insurance Emergency and accidental medical insurance policies are necessary if you are traveling overseas. This type of insurance ensures that you are reimbursed or covered for medical expenses during a trip. With overseas medical coverage, travelers are reimbursed or covered when they incur medical expenses during the trip. Some overseas medical insurance will cover pre-existing conditions, but may not cover certain extreme sports. These policies simply require that they are informed prior to the trip.  Other policies will not cover prior conditions. Some insurance companies will cover medical evacuation in cases of political unrest or better medical care in another area. 2.  Travel Insurance Baggage loss and theft is often a reality of travel. Travel insurance will cover […]

New Zealand’s Best Beaches

Whether you’re getting ready for your next holiday or deciding where you’re going to spend your gap year, New Zealand should be on your short list. From its picturesque countryside to its nature preserves, New Zealand is a land of contrasts. If you explore the country’s beaches long enough, you’ll find rocky shorelines and cool, crisp waters, and in some places, you can see snow-capped mountains while you’re lounging on the beach. Below is a list of some of the best beaches in New Zealand.    Ninety Mile Beach: OK, this one’s really only 55 miles long, and there are quite a few explanations as to how the beach got its name. Spend part of your gap year in New Zealand snapper fishing, pipi packing and walking or driving the shoreline at low tide.    Bay of Plenty: This area is popular with the locals, and for good reason. It’s steeped in the Maori culture, and studded with kiwi fruit plantations; there are activities for everyone in your group—skydiving, swimming with dolphins, horseback riding, and of course basking in the sun on the pristine beaches.    Long Beach: Located on Waiheke Island, Long Beach has become a suburb for locals […]
