The Most Underrated Beaches in Perth, Australia

The Most Underrated Beaches in Perth, Australia

During my summer volunteering in Perth, Australia, I spent a great deal of my weekends going to some of the most stunning beaches in the world. While I visited a few of the famous beaches that the tourist crowds flocked to, I also went to some that were more secluded. The extra isolation made these beaches stand out in my mind. One of the best memories I have of going to the beach in Perth is definitely the morning I went to Rottnest Island off mainland Australia. The 25-minute ferry ride out to Rottnest was the most exhilarating way to start a day of relaxing in the sun and swimming. Rottnest Island is known for its gorgeous white sand and emerald water, and here on the island, there was no shortage of beaches for some peace and quiet away from the crowds. Salmon Bay, a beach on the south side of the island, was gorgeous. It had particularly tranquil waves. This was also where I had my first snorkeling experience, and I was not disappointed. There was amazingly diverse animal and plant life, and I even saw some shipwreck ruins. Perth is also where I learned to surf. Trigg Beach […]

5 Alternative Holiday Ideas

But for those who are looking into having a unique vacation, pristine beaches and snow-capped mountains might just not make the cut on their list. If you want adventure and lots of adrenaline, here are five alternative holiday ideas to consider – Visit the Majestic Tigers of India Why not get out of the country and start your holiday by going to India? If you feel like barfing when the cultural tour is mentioned, do not immediately think that this is also what India is set to offer. Now, it’s time to explore the wild where the Oberoi luxury jungle sits. This place is in a property in Ranthambore and is home to many Indian tigers. If you get tired of taking pictures, then you can always retire in one of the luxury tents in Oberoi Vanyavilas. Here, spa and dining facilities await honeymooners and other tourists. Get in Shape Through Boot Camp Training Your well-deserved holiday need not be days of sunbathing. If you want to optimize your free time, then you might as well accomplish one […]

Barcelona: the Spanish Capital of Family Fun

Destinations/Europe
Barcelona: the Spanish Capital of Family Fun

Barcelona is located in the south of Spain and it offers a wide variety of activities, from young adults’ fun to ideal family vacations. As soon as you arrive at the Barcelona Airport, you can easily rent a car instead of having to deal with public transportation, which even though it is flawless, it is however rather limiting when it comes to destinations and time schedule. Renting a car when you arrive in Barcelona is very easy and it will allow you to have your own freedom, drive around in the comfort of a very safe vehicle and it will also enable you to go anywhere you want at the time that suits you best. This way, you won’t have to wait around for a bus or a train. Barcelona is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in Spain and most certainly one of the cities that are mostly filled with history and culture. In fact, Barcelona is well known all over the world for its famous buildings that has been created and decorated by Antonio Gaudi, a Spanish artist that dedicated his life to building a church that unfortunately to this day is still unfinished. As […]

Do It Yourself Sagada Adventure during Holyweek

My friend and I decided to take a vacation in Sagada during Holyweek! Since its peak season, mostly buses are already fully booked. Luckily, we were able to saved 2 seats in Baliwag Terminal going to Solano cost us around 400. Since we are not familiar with the place, we just asked the conductor to drop us in Bagabag. We left Cubao around 10pm and arrived in Bagabag 5:30am with 3 stops over. We took the bus going to Banaue, which lasted for an hour. When we arrived in Banaue, we took another jeep going to Bontoc, the jeep will not leave until it’s full. From bontoc, we took another jeep going to Sagada. Though this is a long ride, you will surely enjoy it. The sceneries are really fascinating! Too many rice terraces! Finally, we reached Sagada around 1:30 in the afternoon. We registered at the tourism office for 50pesos. My friend created our itinerary, and since its peak season, hotel and guest houses are fully booked. Luckily, our guide helped us find a place to stay for 2 days. We rest for few hours and start to tour the place. The weather is HOT and COLD  In […]
